Pelvic Floor Therapy

Pelvic and genital pain describes discomfort in the hip, tailbone, buttock, pubic bone, SI joint, and/or abdominal area — and it can be hard to pinpoint. Symptoms may include aching, cramping, pressure, difficulty sitting for long periods, pain with intercourse, urinary incontinence or urgency, constipation, and limited hip range of motion. Pelvic pain can be managed and treated by a pelvic floor therapist so you can return to your daily activities.

Common questions

Do I need a doctor's referral to get started?

In many cases you can begin with a direct evaluation. Some insurance plans do require a referral, so we're always glad to help you check what your specific plan needs before your first visit.

Is pelvic floor therapy uncomfortable?

Therapy should never be painful. We move at your pace, explain every step before we begin, and adjust the plan so you always feel safe, respected, and in control.

How many appointments will I need?

Visits are unhurried and one-on-one. The number of sessions depends on your body and your goals — we'll map out a realistic plan together after your evaluation.

Will my insurance cover it?

As a courtesy we bill your insurance for you. See our Patients page for the carriers we work with, or call and we'll check your coverage before you book.
